About Raymah
At Raymah Coffee, our journey is rooted in friendship, heritage, and a deep love for coffee that spans generations and continents
.
It all began when Akrama Hashmi—a Pakistani-American entrepreneur—visited Karachi and noticed something remarkable: the city’s coffee culture was awakening. From roadside stalls to sleek cafés, Karachi was falling in love with coffee. Yet, amid the buzz, Akrama realized there was a flavor still missing—a taste he had grown to love in the U.S.: the bold, earthy richness of authentic Yemeni coffee.
Inspired by this realization, Akrama reached out to his longtime friend, Dr. Abdulhakim Mohamed—a Yemeni-American and fellow coffee enthusiast with a deep connection to his homeland’s coffee-growing traditions. Together, they co-founded Raymah Coffee with a shared mission: to introduce Pakistan to the unmatched depth and heritage of Yemeni coffee.
Sourcing directly from the high-altitude mountains of Raymah, Yemen—where coffee has been cultivated for centuries—our beans are grown organically, handpicked, and sun-dried using traditional methods passed down through generations. Thanks to Dr. Abdulhakim’s ties to local farming communities, we work directly with growers who treat coffee not just as a crop, but as a legacy.
Once these premium beans reach Karachi, they’re brewed with precision and care to bring out their layered, complex flavor. Every cup tells a story—of rugged Yemeni mountains, centuries-old traditions, and the journey from farmer to roaster to you.
Raymah Coffee is more than a café. It’s a cultural bridge—connecting the heritage of Yemen with the vibrant spirit of Pakistan. We invite you to taste tradition, to sip history, and to be part of a story that began in Yemen, traveled through the U.S., and now lives in the heart of Karachi.
